Description

RFQ VA259-17-Q-0379 REPLACE UPS BATTERIES Contractor shall provide all labor and materials to replace existing UPS batteries and battery rack for the uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system for Building 52. The replacement of UPS Batteries in Building 52 includes all associated costs for a turnkey project with the furnishing of batteries, installation, incidentals, delivery, dismantling of existing components and the legal disposal of batteries. All work shall be coordinated with VA electric shop. Battery backup power shall be maintained during battery replacement. Contractor shall provide submittals on replacement batteries to meet or exceed existing performance. The UPS system for building 52 provides power back-up for the telephone system. Building 52 - Work includes replacement of 24 batteries. The existing batteries are: GNB Absolyte IIP Type 90A09, 344 amp hours, Nominal 2 volts per cell with a minimum capacity of 8 hours to 1.75 VPC New battery rack shall be installed. All work shall be completed within 60 days of Notice to Proceed.
