- Wage Determination Fire Plan Field Med Evac Plan Maps Solicitation SOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation and all attachments are now posted. PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE Description: The intent of this contract is to secure services for performing cutting (hand and/or mechanical felling), skidding/yarding of material to landings, and decking and piling material on national forest land within the Lakeview Project Area on the Mendocino National Forest. Contract objectives are to reduce fuel loads and competing vegetation to crop trees along with reducing the potential for wildfire to destroy the stands. The project area is located on the Mendocino National Forest, Upper Lake Ranger District with units located in Township 14 North, Range 8 West, Sections 3, 4, 9, and 10 and Township 15 North, Range 8 West, Sections 33 and 34. Set Asides: This procurement is being solicited as a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 113310. The related small business size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation Info: Solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. The anticipated posting of this solicitation is on or about May 10, 2017. Site Visit: An organized site visit is not being scheduled however the site is accessible contact Nick Mouthaan at 707-275-1477 or nmouthaan@fs.fed.us. Most roads are accessible between the months of May through October, though high clearance vehicles may be necessary on some roads. Inquiries: All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing via email to tmarino@fs.fed.us or fax to 530-226-2474. No telephone questions will be accepted. It is recommended that questions be submitted no later than 3 calendar days prior to the closing date of the solicitation. Questions received after that time may not receive a response. Notifications: In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), the government is limiting the availability of the solicitation to the electronic medium through this posting to FBO.gov. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will be posted on this website. It is the sole responsibility of the quoter to continually view this website for any amendments made to this solicitation. Award notifications will be made to this notice. Early notification will not be made to any quoter except Awarded Contractor.
