Description
National Security Technology is seeking sources for the purchase of an auger drilling rig for the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) located in Mercury, Nevada. The requirements for the auger drilling rig shall include: Basic Auger Rig Features: • Truck or trailer mounted rig with telescoping mast with a mast tilt minimum of five (5) degrees. • Mechanical or hydraulic rotary. • Telescoping multi-element Kelly. • Diesel powered • Capability of drilling borehole diameters up to fifty-four (54) inches to depths of one hundred twenty (120) feet. • Main Kelly winch with a minimum capacity of twenty-five thousand (25,000) pounds with controlled freefall. • Service winch with a minimum capacity of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds. • Minimum rotary torque of seventy-five thousand (75,000) pounds per foot. • Minimum crowd force of twenty-five thousand (25,000) pounds. • Outriggers on cab end and outriggers or stabilizers on drill end. • Operator cab with heat and air conditioning. • Water tank. • Fuel tank. • Rotating frame with capacity of sliding in and out. • Working lights, back-up alarm, wheel chocks, outrigger pads, grounding cable and barricade kit. • Tool box(s) • Air drill system, including swivel and Kelly hose that will allow straight air drilling using a conventional tri-cone or hammer drill bits 12 ¼ to 17 ½ inches in diameter. Auger Bits (new): • Hard rock type auger bits with connections compatible with the proposed auger rig in the following diameters: o Twenty-six (26) inches; o Thirty-six (36) inches; o Forty-two (42) inches, and; o Forty-eight (48) inches. • One (1) extra set of teeth and holders for each auger bit and tool(s) to replace them. Miscellaneous: • Four (4) crossover sub-assemblies, two (2) each to crossover form the bottom of the Kelly to a 6 5/8 inch API regular box. • One (1) extra spool of cable for each size of cable used on the rig. • Two (2) complete sets of operation, maintenance and part manuals. • On-site training of CONTRACTOR personnel on operations, maintenance and repair overview. Interested Offerors must provide: 1. Descriptive literature to include type of equipment, specifications and any other technical information regarding the equipment to be provided. 2. Company capability to provide the equipment. 3. Rough order of magnitude of the equipment. Potential Offerors must provide the above information NOT LATER THAN May 16, 2017 to: jensentr@nv.doe.gov
