- This is a non-personal services contract to replace the cracked stem water packing gland on the hoist serving Service Gate No. 2 at Cherry Creek Dam, Aurora, CO. Services for replacement of the gland may include lifting the cylinder from its foundation, investigation of the reason for the cracked gland, replacement of the gland, determination whether any other damage has occurred to the stem and re-seating of the cylinder in its normal functioning position. In some cases removal and replacement of ancillary items may be required but not stated in the SOW, and any or all of the SOW actions may be adjusted, changed or omitted depending on actual site conditions and with authorization from USACE.
