Description

Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Neuwave Medical, Inc. (DUNS: 809758878), pursuant to FAR part 12, FAR part 13, and specifically FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The proposed sole source purchase order is for the purchase of six (6) each of three different types of Neuwave Ablation probes, including model numbers PR15, PR20 and LK15, for delivery to the VA Hunter Holmes McGuire Medical Center (Richmond VAMC) in Richmond, Virginia. The NAICS code for this contract action is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, with a SBA Size Standard of 750 employees. The Product Service Code for this action is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The facility currently uses the Certus 140 Microwave Ablation System, manufactured by Neuwave Medical, Inc. (DUNS: 809758878). The above described probes are the only probes specifically designed for use with the Certus 140. No authorized distributors have been identified. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, May 10, 2017, 08:00PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Daniel Spaulding, Contract Specialist, at daniel.spaulding@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
