- Seeking potential sources from any public or private organization that is interested in adding additional child care infrastructure within a 10 mile radius of the Washington Navy Yard, Washington D.C. Please note Category 1 and Category 2. of this RFI. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Navy CYP seeks innovative sources from any public or private organization that is interest in adding additional child care infrastructure within a 10 mile radius of the Washington Navy Yard, Washington. D.C. Navy Children Youth Programs (CYP) will consider quotations from any public or private entity for one or both of the following: Category 1 : Sources from an entity interested in providing Navy CYP with an early childhood facility(s) that meet(s) all Federal, State, and DoD criteria for providing child care for up to 300 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. In exchange for providing the facility(s), maintaining the facility(s) including utilities, Navy will operate the program in accordance with the MCCA and grant eligibility to the public or private entity providing the facility(s) with up to 50% of the capacity of the facility(s) for the entities' prescribed benefiting population. This eligibility includes subsidized child care based on parent fees based to the entities' benefiting population based on total family income and access to all Navy CYP operated child care programs within a fifty mile radius of the Washington Navy Yard, Washington D.C. Category 2 : Sources from any entity interested in providing Navy CYP with dedicated child care spaces annually for up to 300 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age in a child care facility(s) that meets requirements the requirements of the MCCA including background check and national accreditation standards. Navy CYP would subsidize the difference of the published program fees not to exceed average market rate and Navy CYP parent fees based on total family income.
