- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought publication only. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a proposal in response to this notice. This notice is to assist the VA in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN is seeking potential Contractors capable of all supervision, labor, transportation, supplies, equipment, licenses, chemicals and materials necessary for the accomplishment of Kitchen Tile and Grout Cleaning, Overlay, and Repair located at 1481 W, Tenth Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Services to be provided include: Contractor shall deep clean tile and grout and install a protective overlay on the interior kitchen floors and support areas; including kitchen food prep floors and walk-in cooler, and all immediate connecting corridors of the C-Wing basement area. Contractor shall clean all floor surfaces to make the floors free of grime, rust, and any type of residue including discoloration due to greases, nicotine, and oils. Contractor shall remove and replace broken floor tiles, cove base, and any worn away grout. Contractor shall deep clean grout and install protective solid opaque polymer grout overlay on top of existing grout lines including cove base. Contractor shall install a clear Xolite based coating over the entire tile and grout surface. Textite/Sharp grip to be added to the Xolite coating for increased slip resistance. Contractor shall replace and repair any elements of floor components damaged during accomplishment of contractual services. Components consist of tile, grout, paint, glaze, food prep equipment, stainless tables and shelving and electrical/mechanical/plumbing utilities. Floor cleaning, overlay and repair shall be reserved for off hours (6 pm 4:30 am) work performance as to not interfere with food prep activity within the VAMC. Contractor shall coordinate with VA all utility shutdowns to kitchen and food prep appliances if they need to be moved out of the way for floor cleaning. Contractor shall provide Phasing Plan to VA of the kitchen area to be completed first, second; etc. to avoid a complete shutdown of the kitchen food prep area. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and developing a potential procurement strategy. After review of responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the FedBizOpps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond directly to any corresponding solicitation by submitting a proposal.
