- THIS PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCES A FUTURE REQUIREMENT FOR DEMOLITION OF BUILDING 38-H. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR COMPETITION UNDER THE 8(A) PROGRAM. Interested 8(a) participants are encouraged to obtain a copy of the solicitation once posted. The solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. Solicitation # N40085-17-R-0722 is a Request for Proposal (RFP) to perform work including furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, equipment, and performing all operations in connection with the design and replacement of electric service to B475 and LS300 at Fort Sheridan Army Reserve Center, Highland Park, IL 60035 between switch S001, building 475 and future lift station 300 location to the immediate South of building 475. Design and install a new three-phase, four wire, 12.47kV underground electric service to building 475, and future location of lift station 300. Service shall include concrete encased duct bank, pad-mounted cable junction pedestals, pad-mounted transformers, primary and secondary cable and incidental related work. Source of this service shall be the existing switch S001. After the completion of construction and successful operational testing, remove the existing service serving building 475. When posted, this will be an electronic solicitation, which can be downloaded from the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at www.neco.navy.mil under śBusiness Opportunities ť. Please be sure to register for NAVFAC MIDLANT ™s Unit Identification Code (UIC) N40085, to receive notification of amendments. The solicitation is expected to be available on or about late May to mid-June 2017. Price and technical proposals will be due subsequent to that time. The solicitation package will provide the exact dates. The Pre-Proposal Conference / Site Visit information will be indicated in the solicitation package. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
