Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) and whether or not these items requested are offered on a Federal Supply Schedule. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking sources to provide a Case Cart. The vendor shall be able to provide a Brand Name (Intermetro High Passive Lock Latch Case Cart and shelves) offering the following salient characteristics: CASE CART: Stainless Steel Bumper around bottom edge Able to lock noise dampening wheels swivel wheels with 2 that can lock (minimum) general dimensions 30-35"W, 45-55"H (no more than 60"), 25" minimum interior depth to 30" maximum interior depth easy to push and pull (self-propelled a plus)- highly maneuverable handles on both sides, about midway up (around 40-45" from floor) double door due to space restrictions in decontamination; doors should open fully, exposing interior in full, to aid in removing large items SHELVIING: pull-out shelves rounded, finished shelves (no wires, no sharp edges) solid stainless steel shelves, 2-3 each minimum 10" to 15" maximum between shelves adjustable shelving is preferred but not required each shelf holds up to 150 lbs. minimum Set Up: Vendor will unpack all shipped items (facility will provide an area to do this in) Vendor will assemble carts with handles, locks, wheels, doors, shelves, etc. (assembly is all inclusive) Vendor will clean carts using hospital provided disinfectant wipes before delivering to the SPS area All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, INCLUDING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: Company name. Address. Point of contact (name/title/telephone number/e-mail address). FSS Contract number, if applicable. DUNS number. Tax ID number. Indication of which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business or Large Business) for which the organization qualifies. Are you providing a small business product? A capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to provide the requirement depicted above. If an authorized distributor, a memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products If an authorized distributor, a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase. Reference the product, facility and sources sought number on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 1000 Employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Omar.Cante@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on May 15, 2017.
