- Description
- RFQ Instructions The USAMRICD has a requirement for the purchase of a UV-Vis-NIR Spectrometer to expand on their surface (skin and wounds) analysis capability by bringing in a technology they currently do not possess. The UV-Vis-NIR Spectrometer works by analyzing the light reflectance from the surface of a sample across a broad range of light wavelengths ranging from the UV (200 nm) through the Visible and, ultimately to the near infrared (NIR, 2500 nm). This information is related to the actual substance and chemistries in the surface of the sample being analyzed. Using mathematical analysis of the light spectra acquired from the instrument, Scientists will be able to determine the constituents of the sample surface. This technology is useful in that it will allow Scientists to analyze surfaces quickly and non-destructively. The UV-Vis-NIR Spectrometer must meet the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs)listed in the attached RFQ. Questions shall be submitted via e-mail to Ms. Cathy Hutchinson; catherine.hutchinson4.civ@mail.mil no later than 15 May 2017 at 3:00 PM EST. No telephone calls will be accepted. Quotes in response to this RFQ are due via e-mail no later than 22 May 2017 at 3:00 PM EST to Ms. Cathy Hutchinson; catherine.hutchinson4.civ@mail.mil.
