- This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting NCO-7, 501 Greene St., Augusta, GA., intends to issue a Sole Source Three (3) month firm fixed price bridge contract for Medical Regulated Waste services, to Earth Smart Environmental Solutions, LLC., 232-S. Dillard St., STE 230, Winter Green, FL., 34787. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The NAICS Code is 562211. A justification and Approval will be prepared. All services shall be performed on-site at various Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center locations. The intent of this contract is to procure regulated medical pick-up, removal, and treatment services for the Charlie Norwood Medical Center, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia to include Augusta VA Medical Center (Uptown Division), 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904: Augusta GA Medical Center (Downtown), 800 Bailey Street, Augusta, GA, 30904; and two Augusta VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS) located at 9249 Hwy 29, Athens, GA 30601, and 951 Millbrook Ave., Aiken, SC 29803Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer; however, only offerors capable of providing the full scope of work shall be considered for award. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered and must be received no later than 15 May 2017. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine that a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. Any documents submitted will not be returned. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor s capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
