- The U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) seeks to establish a contract with a Base plus one option to purchase Iridium satellite phones 50 at the time of the contract set up CLIN 00010 and another 50 (CLIN 00020), may be within 6 months to a year after. The contract will include a guaranteed minimum purchase of 50 phones with the option to purchase an additional 50 phones within 6 months to a year The Contractor shall provide Iridium satellite phones in accordance with the attached salient specifications. Satellite Phones as Defined in attached Salient specifications The U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF), part of the Water Mission Area (WMA), has a requirement to purchase Iridium satellite phones. The WMA needs to purchase quantities of satellite phones that meet requirements for authorization for use on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) Iridium network. The equipment will be supplied to field offices and must be designed for use in harsh environments for safety and in remote mission operations NAICS 334220 Satellite communication equipment manufacturing
