- The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING via email to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought Announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you chose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (GATE 201185), your socioeconomic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small) and follow-up two weeks after the announcement closes to check on the status of the project. Your email capability information MUST be 6 pages (does not include letter from bonding company) or less and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. Provide customer point of contact information including email and telephone (for example, contracting officers, project managers). Provide description of past projects, contract numbers, dollar amounts, time frame, duration, location and any other pertinent information. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels per contract and total. Also provide your DUNS number. Your response is due no later than 4:00pm, Mountain Time on May 22, 2017. All firms must be certified in SAM at the time of your submission. Please note there is no additional information to be provided at this time. Gateway National Recreation Area, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, New York Replace Primary Electrical Cables, Gateway National Recreation Area, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, New York, GATE 201185 Estimated Range: $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 NAICS - 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors Estimated Period of Performance for Construction: October 2017 - November 2018 Description/Summary of Scope: This project will complete the replacement of seriously deteriorated, underground electrical cable on historic Floyd Bennett Field by replacing original medium voltage distribution PILC cables from the 1930s and 1940s with modern XLPE cables and duct bank infrastructure. The new duct banks and cables would be installed next to the old duct banks and cables. The duct banks and cables would enter the manholes in new locations and the existing manholes would be used for cable splicing and pulling. The work also includes one minor repairs and potential replacements of a few manholes. Interested contractors must respond to the following criteria: 1. Bonding Capacity Minimum $10M 2. Experience in replacing original medium voltage cables. 3. Ability to create a comprehensive work schedule and control costs.
