- Page 1 of 1 Page 1 of 1 Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a 12 month base and (4) annual option years to obtain Preventative Maintenance on Steris Sterilizers and Generator Pack from the manufacturer, Steris Corporation, 5960 Heisley Rd., Mentor, OH, 44060. The Steris Sterilizers and Generator Pack are proprietary equipment and software to Steris Corporation. As the manufacturer, Steris Corporation is the only source to supply parts, software and authorized programming technicians with warranty and routine quarterly maintenance service on this equipment. This equipment sterilizes all medical equipment for the Northampton VAMC and needs to be maintained at full functionality. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 811219. The FSC/PSC is J065. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
