- INTENT TO COMPETE A BRAND NAME ACQUISITION (PUBLIC DISPLAY POSTING) The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a brand name purchase order to any authorized reseller of Antenna House Formatter Software Maintenance. The authority permitting a brand name acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Brand Name. The period of performance will be a 7-month base period and four 1-year optional renewal periods. According to market research conducted, Antenna House Formatter Software Maintenance can only be provided by the manufacturer and its authorized resellers. This maintenance needed to ensure the IRS receives the latest software updates and patches as well as the technical support. Antenna House XSL Formatter software is a vital component of the IRS Page Composition System for tax products authored in XML. It is fully integrated in the Composition Process Management (CPM) application and specifically utilized in the development of Instructions and Publications. The Page Composition software provides customized, native XML source code & product camera-ready output for printed versions of tax products & cross-linked, fully accessible PDF. No solicitation package will be issued on FedBizOpps. This notice of intent to conduct a brand name procurement is not a request for quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than May 22, 2017, 10AM EST. Responses shall be submitted to Ralawna.Cobb@irs.gov. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information: 1. The name of your company; 2. Company DUNS No.; 3. POC name and contact information; 4. The specific product(s) that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the items to be included on this order or evidence that your company is capable of providing a renewal for the specific items mentioned above; and, 5. A description of that product(s) and its overall capabilities. It is your responsibility to demonstrate how your ability to provide software maintenance services for Antenna House Formatter software. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of being able to meet the Government's needs.
