- INSTALLATION OF HVAC SYSTEM - STIDHAM HALL SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment and services as necessary to successfully complete the work as required by the Statement of Work and the attached documents. Haskell Indian Nations University is looking to renovate the HVAC system in Building 111, Stidham Union. The existing chiller is not functional and has past its useful life. The Stidham Union houses the Campus Book Store, Grill House Cafe, Trio Tutoring, Counseling Services and the Student Senate. All designs and installations shall follow all applicable codes for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and the 2007 BIA School Facilities Design Handbook. DSRM will do a final inspection of the project and contractor will need to be at that meeting for final approval. Work shall be done in a neat and workman-like manner. This Project will include installation of a new HVAC system (less the boiler) to replace the chiller, fan coil units, replace all piping and install a 4-pipe system, replace air handles, upgrade Honeywell Energy Management System (EMS) controllers, install four (4) new circulating pumps two (2) hot water and two (2) chilled water, install new air separator, install new electronic actuators on the valves, insulate all piping, replace all piping and valves from boiler flanges to pumps, create and install room zones for the EMS to allow for individual room schedules, and install new thermostats throughout the building. New chiller shall be an air-cooled package unit installed on a new pad on the north side of building just outside the mechanical room. EMS for Building 111 shall include scheduling of rooms individually to set back the temperature at night as required for energy savings. EMS shall be able to see chiller menu and control accordingly including boiler, air-handler(s), air flow, and room temperatures. EMS shall include features equal to or greater than existing system controls. Construction documents will include as Attachments: Construction Documents Plans, dated 12/9/2016 Construction Documents Project Manual, dated 12/9/2016 Design Analysis Report, dated 8/16/2016 Applicable Permits, archeological and environmental clearances have been acquired. Project Magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. PROJECT LOCATION The project will be located on the campus of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, KS. The school site is located in Douglas County just on the south-central side of Lawrence, KS - which is approximately 30 miles west of Kansas City, MO. DATES Bid Opening is set for May 19, 2017 at 3:00pm. The Government anticipates the award to be made by June 1, 2017, with 120 days to complete all work after Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. The NTP will be issued as soon as Background Clearances have been secured. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS All solicitation documents will be available after May 19th at fedconnect.net at no cost. Solicitation documents will not be available through the agency. This is a total small business set-aside.
