- Additional Documentation -- meeting location map Introduction: This notice is provided for informational and planning purposes only to announce a Pre-Solicitation Conference. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineering District (JED) will host a Pre-Solicitation Conference for a construction project titled "Replace EJ King High School." The goal of the Pre-Solicitation Conference is to: - Provide an overview of the project's location and phasing requirements to industry - Allow attendees to see the project site (walk-through) - Allow the government to solicit feedback from attendees and other potential sources Any information presented during the Pre-Solicitation Conference is for planning purposes only. Official project information will be included in a solicitation, if issued. Pre-Solicitation Conference Details: Event date: June 21, 2017 Event location: Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan Meeting location: Nimitz Park Pavilion Number 2 (Facility number 1686) Meeting time: 12:30 P.M. Planned event time: 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. Japan Standard Time The planned agenda for the Pre-Solicitation Conference includes: - Welcome remarks / introductions - Project overview presentation - Walk-through of existing site / facility - Meetings between contractor attendees and government personnel You must respond to this announcement to register for the event. Due to space limitations, each company responding to this announcement is limited to 2 attendees. A reserved seat at the event will be granted to interested companies in the order they respond to the announcement to the extent that space is available. You must register for the event even if you have regular access to CFAS. After the response date for this announcement has closed, those companies who receive a confirmation that they have a reserved seat at the event will be given further instructions to contact the Sasebo Resident Office. Those companies will need to submit information to the Sasebo Resident Office to coordinate base access passes for the event. If space is not available for some companies who respond to the announcement, those companies will be notified. A meeting location / map to the site is included in the link within this announcement. Please click on the link titled "Additional Documentation" to view the information. The presentation(s) for this event will be uploaded as a modification to this announcement prior to the event. A solicitation will not be released prior to this event, and a draft solicitation will not be presented at the event.
