This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), Hub-Zone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing items requested, as well as any large businesses. A solicitation is not currently available. This notice is seeking Brand Name or Equal equipment (manufacturer is Sun Nuclear). NEW equipment ONLY - no remanufactured or gray market equipment. Equipment must be covered under manufacturer s warranty. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334519, Size Standard: 500 Employees, and the Classification code is 6515. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Description: The Government is interested in gaining knowledge of potential businesses that would be able to distribute or manufacture MapCheck2 (MC@) device and associated software necessary for conducting quality assurance on patient treatment plans prior to treatment to the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. The MC2 is used to perform patient intensity Modulated radiation Therapy and Image Guided Radiation Therapy Quality Assurance (IMRT/IGRT QAs). The MC2 will also be used for Linear Accelerator (LINAC) quality assurance of light vs radiation field, beam steering and output checks on a monthly and annual basis. The current plans IMRT/IGRT and future SRS/SBRT require a high degree of precision and proper transference to the LINAC to be delivered correctly without issues.
