- Draft PWS THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quote and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to issue a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to eligible vendors to provide MSC ships with worldwide services and supplies for shipboard fixed and portable firefighting system. These services will likely include inspection, certification, and repair of the ships firefighting systems/equipment. The Government intends to award multiple contracts to maximize competition for each task order. The IDIQ contracts shall remain in effect for five (5) years (if all option years are exercised). All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561990, (Firefighting services as a commercial activity) which has a size standard of $11 million. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to complete the requested work. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions will not be returned; (3) Suggestion of labor categories required to maintain/service equipment; and (4) any suggestions or comments about the NAICS code selection, contract type, or effort in general. Only vendors that are able to satisfy the above criteria should express an interest to the government at this time. Vendors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 10:00 a.m. EST on 31 May 2017.
