Description
This notice is posted IAW Far 19.804.2. This project proposal is limited to qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms. Solicitation: VA255-17-R-0564, Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price, NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, Business size is $36.5M, Title-Description of Requirement: PN 589A5-15-117 Relocate Sterile Processing Service. This contractor will provide labor and materials to renovate the basement of building 1 to construct a new sterile processing services lab for the VAMC in Topeka, Kansas. The contractor will be responsible for meeting all contract specifications for the VAMC. The project shall include concrete, electrical, plumbing, steel framing, lighting, telecommunications and finishes work. The new sterile processing lab, office space, mechanical equipment rooms, restrooms, locker area, and biomedical server room shall be installed in accordance with all applicable standards available at time of installation to include published commercial specifications as well as standards and preferences expressed in this document. The contractor shall perform interior demolition of the walls and associated finishes. Demolition in the basement will include, but is not limited to the following: chipping of concrete toping of the concrete pan joist floor, removal of perimeter brick and block wall, removal of flooring materials, removal of walls, including furring, removal of doors and frames, removal of ceilings, removal of lighting, removal of ductwork, removal of a window, removal of wiring and controls and miscellaneous associated items. The contractor shall provide all materials and labor to construct an exterior exhaust shaft enclosure immediately west of the primary project area which shall require minor excavation for footings and structural connections to the existing building exterior wall. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to construct a dirty and clean room which is a sterile environment for the cleaning of miscellaneous medical equipment. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to construct and install new restrooms and locker rooms, administrative office space, air lock antechambers entering and exiting the clean and dirty rooms. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to construct new mechanical equipment rooms to provide dedicated HVAC, steam generator, storage and janitorial closets. The contractor shall provide all labor and materials to install new flooring, walls, doors, ducting, lighting, and ceilings throughout the renovated areas. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to install an interior coating on windows into the lab as noted on drawings and in specifications. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to install specified equipment in the sterile processing material lab. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to construct and install the electrical equipment, associated materials as specified on the drawings and in specifications. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to construct and install new a new Biomedical server room, to include flooring, walls, HVAC, communication cabling, electrical, lighting, racks, and monitoring. Completion time from NTP is 210 calendar days. The facility location: VISN 15/ Topeka VAMC, 2200 Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS 66622. The estimated cost magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All interested vendors are encouraged to attend the site visit scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 9:00 AM Central Time at the VAMC, Room E-106, Building 6, Topeka VAMC, 2200 Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS 66622. There has been no previous solicitation posted for this requirement. Qualified vendors must thoroughly review the attached solicitation with specs and drawing and provide a detailed response by the solicitation response date and must be registered in the SAM data base. All qualified vendors must provide a complete response to each solicitation technical evaluation factor and priced line items as requested. Proposal will be posted on or about June 1, 2017.
