Work to be included in this project consists of modifying Rooms 109 and 146 to accommodate a flight motion simulator to include construction of a reinforced concrete foundation capable of supporting a 35,000lb simulator, installing a 2000lb jib crane on the simulator foundation, and installing a wall-mounted viewing monitor structural backing and universal full-motion mounts. See attached specifications and drawings. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The estimated magnitude for the total project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The performance period to accomplish the facility modifications is 160 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A bid guarantee is not required. Payment and performance bonds will be required prior to the Notice to Proceed being issued. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
