Description
SF30 Amendment#000002/AG-32SD-S-17-0045 Question 1: I have a question regarding the statement of work. It states: "Vendor, while providing rodent control is required to minimize the potential for animals to crawl into areas (walls/pipes/hidden areas) so they cannot be removed." As we walked the site we noticed that many of the buildings are wide open and there are numerous areas where the rodents could crawl into and die. Can you please clarify what will be required under this statement? How extensive and by what means shall the repairs be made? Answer 1: The intention of the statement is: 1) For the contractor to do most of the baiting outdoors; and 2) If the contractor sees rodent access points/spaces, to make a comment to the COR or AO and we, USDA, will address them when feasible. These buildings are so old and open, there is no way all of the access points and spaces could be addressed to make the buildings tight without a huge cost. If the contractor will let us know of places that are access points or spaces, we, USDA, we will address them when feasible. The intention is for them to do most of the baiting outside around the buildings to hopefully cut down on the issues inside. We are not asking them to make building repairs.
