- Description
- Due to an error, Amendment 5 did not include the responses to offerors' questions. They are being included as text below for this Amendment: CCTT BIOC's Questions and Answers 1) Please verify and confirm with the program office that the image size requirement of.95" X.76" is correct and that the reduced image size is acceptable. CCTT received approval from Training & Doctrine Command Capabilities Manager (TCM) and the M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley SMEs to use a BIOC with that display size. Those BIOCs are currently being fielded on the M2 Bradley systems under the Concurrency effort. In addition, every fielded AGTS M1A1 system uses a BIOC with a display size of.95"x.76." AGTS received approval from TCM to field those BIOCs. Although the image size is smaller, the physical Field of View (FOV) is not reduced because the GFE lens is a separate component and it will remain unchanged. This means the viewing distances and the viewing angles will also remain unchanged. The simulated FOVs also remain unchanged. This means that even though the image size is smaller, the same amount of viewable content will be presented to the trainee. The SOW states the BIOC design shall support a "minimum" display size of.95" x.76." The SOW does not state that it has to be "exactly".95" x.76." Yes, the reduced image size is acceptable because TCM has approved the integration of a BIOC with that display size on CCTT. 2) When can the contractor expect this evaluation unit to be returned? The units provided for the product demonstrations will be returned to the contractors the week following the scheduled demonstrations (week of 22 May 2017).
