- The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to award a single source firm-fixed price purchase order to Azure Biosystems for acquisition of two (2) Azure, cSeries Imaging Systems (C600). VA Palo Alto Health Care Research laboratory requires an imager for capturing a wide variety of application: For protein work, DNA/RNA work and more. Gel Documentation for DNA and Proteins - Epi White Light for Protein Analysis; UV transilluminator for DNA imaging and band excision, and Epi Blue Light for Safe Dye Detection An alternative to ethidium bromide, less-harmful Safe (SYBR ® Safe, SYBR ® Gold, SYBR ® Green) dyes can be imaged with the EPI Blue LEDs standard in the system. For protein work, the main application is Westerns blot analysis. This instrument acquire image in all format of WB: either Chemiluminescent, Infrared or Visible fluorophores. This instrument also enable in-gel Fluorescence: Detecting in-gel fluorescence enables the analysis of protein gels immediately after electrophoresis, without staining or Western blotting. This instrument also enables Membrane Antibody Arrays detection in any format of secondary antibody of detection. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fourteen (14) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
