- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Health and Environmental Effects Laboratory (NHEERL) Facility located at 1 Sabine Island Drive, Gulf Breeze, Florida 32561-5299 has a requirement for a contract to provide upgrades to a causeway bridge, roadway and power, water and sewer services. The construction shall be phased to keep one lane open during construction. This acquisition is being conducted as a competitive 8(a) set-aside. Competition is limited to 8(a) concerns that are serviced by the Jacksonville, Florida or Miami, Florida District Offices of the U.S. Small Business Administration. A single Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract is anticipated. The construction magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The period of performance for this requirement will be approximately six (6) months. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 237310, Highway, Street and Bridge Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5M. The DRAFT specifications and drawings are included in this announcement. The Final specifications and drawings will be part of the solicitation package. The government intends to evaluate proposals and make an award without discussions. A pre-proposal conference, including an organized site visit, will be conducted at the NHEERL facility located in Gulf Breeze, FL on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00am CDT. You must register in writing through the Contracting Officer identified below in order to attend the conference/site visit. Registrations will be accepted until 3:00 pm CDT, Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Requests to attend the conference/site visit will be limited to five attendees per request. Requests after this date and time may not be honored. It is anticipated the solicitation, including specifications and drawings will be posted on the www.FedConnect.net website on or about June 1, 2017. No hard copies will be available.
