Photo 2 of Movable Wall Partition-Nehelani Photo of Movable Wall Partition-Nehelani Purpose: This is a Sources Sought notice only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified business sources. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gather market data to gain knowledge of the capabilities of potential sources. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a separate synopsis may be issued for a Request for Quote (RFQ) and posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Background/Objective: United States Army Garrison Hawaii Directorate of Public Works, (DPW) is seeking interested sources capable of repairing a movable wall partition system at Bldg. 2060 (Nehelani), Schofield Barracks, Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Service contract will be to repair two (2) bottom seal rod mechanisms on two (2) divider wall panels and to perform preventative maintenance (lubricate track, clean track of foreign materials, check for misaligned track joints, inspect seals, adjust panels for plumb,etc) in order for the wall panels to operate properly and safely. The movable walls are in a banquet room used for customer receptions and dining. The panels operate on an overhead track and serve as partitions to increase or decrease the size of the room. The panels consist of metal, sheetrock, fabric covering, rubber and hard plastic. Panels reach approximately 30 feet in height with each panel weighing approximately 400 hundred pounds. The mechanisms holding the panels in place on the track do not currently operate properly. Wall panels are difficult to pull from the stored position and hang with very little support with a potential for them to fall down. Interested firms should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm's ability to perform the requirements stated above. The applicable NAICS code is 811219 "Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance" with a size standard of $7 million. In the capability statements, vendors should provide their size status for the above referenced NAICS code, (i.e. small/large) and whether or not they are a certified hub zone, 8(a), women owned, small disadvantaged and/or disabled veteran owned concerns. In addition, please indicate the years of experience you possess with this type of service and your knowledge required to perform this specific type of work. Anticipated Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance will be determined, upon receipt of award. Capability statement /information sought. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party especially a small business, believes they can meet the above requirement, may submit a quote and statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. All questions, quotes, and capability statements must be received electronically (via email) to Melissa Cain, Contracts Specialist, Melissa.j.cain2.civ@mail.mil. in MS Word or Adobe Portable Document Format(PDF) no later than 10:00 am HST on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. No telephone calls or facsimiles will be accepted. In order to receive an award, contractors must have valid registration and certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA), through sam.gov. No collect calls will be accepted. Please reference solicitation number PAN413-17-P-0000-011213 on all correspondence.
