- Justification and Approval Draft Statement of Work The Library of Congress requires contract support to maintain its Sonder Film Sound Reproducer. At the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center (NAVCC) we use the Reproducer, manufactured by Sonder of Switzerland (now a division of DFT of Darmstadt, Germany), to preproduce sound recordings for motion pictures. These sound recordings can be either magnetic film or optical sound recording film and can be either 16mm or 35mm. The Reproducer requires a factory-trained engineer from Sondor to maintain, upgrade, and repair. The NAVCC has a requirement to purchase a maintenance support plan for its Sondor Film Sound Reproducer, Serial Number 1522, and obtain preventive maintenance on the equipment. This contract will be for one (1) base year plus up to four (4) option years. Please see the attached draft Statement of Work for more details. The Library intends to fulfill this requirement by issuing a sole source contract award to DFT. Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement must submit a capability statement that demonstrates its ability to meet all the requirements described in the attached draft Statement of Work. The capability statement must not exceed five (5) double-spaced pages and shall include the following information: 1) Company name, DUNS number, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address 2) Corporate structure (corporation, LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, professional corporation, etc.) 3) References, including name, phone number, and e-mail address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities indicated in the statement and 4) Resumes for key personnel who would work on the contract for those individuals with knowledge and experience relevant to the requirement described in the draft Statement of Work. (Resumes are not counted as part of the 5-page limit for capability statements.) In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source contract to DFT is posted with this notice.
