Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego “ Seal Beach Detachment intends to issue a Brand Name Only procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13.5 for CISCO Systems Hardware and Software only for the CISCO Networking equipment and CISCO Network Monitoring Software at Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC), Pt. Mugu CA. The proposed contract action is to purchase hardware and software equipment and annual maintenance service plan. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only CISCO authorized resellers as implemented under FAR 13.5 in accordance with U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The NAVSOC satellite ground system currently uses Cisco Networking equipment and Cisco Network monitoring software procured in FY 2012, which will no longer be supported by OEM maintenance. These items purchased under this contract are a form, fit, and function replacements and are the only known products to integrate with Cisco ™s proprietary network device protocols. Using anything other than the specific hardware/software can compromise the accreditation. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail to gloria.quintero@navy.mil. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. Responses are due by May 23, 2017, 12:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time. If no responses are received, FLCSD-Seal Beach will proceed with the sole source award.
