- DLA Aviation is preparing to solicit a long-term contract (one year base with four 1 year options) for DISK, FRICTION, NSN 1680-01-015-0482. The current approved source of supply is: AEROCONTROLEX GROUP, INC. DBA (CAGE 98889) P/N 1590138-1 Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 05/23/17 by emailing Earl Burnette at earl.burnette@dla.mil. TECH DATA PKG AVAILABILITY: DLA does not have a bidset available. If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an "Approved Source" for this NSN, you will be required to submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program as outlined in the SAR document at: http://www.dla.mil/Aviation/Business/IndustryResources/SBO.aspx. A SAR package contains all of the technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality, or better, than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Aviation is procuring.
