Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to award a purchase order to Daedalus Innovations, 200 Racoosin Drive, Suite 106, Aston, PA 19014 for a functional high pressure device for protein NMR studies. The purpose of this purchase order is to purchase a functional high pressure device for protein NMR studies, including Xtreme - 60 syringe pump and integrated controller and one high pressure, 3mm inner diameter sample cells and accessories required for this. The sole source determination is based on the knowledge that the Extreme Pump hardware is the first and only commercially developed equipment that allows recording of protein NMR signals at high hydrostatic pressures of up to 3000 bar. The only commercially available product to date has been developed by Daedalus Innovations. This instrument includes the ultra - strength zirconium NMR cell with a high filling volume and rated for a pressure of up to 3kbar. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-17-098 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. April N. Martin at National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email april.martin@nih.gov. All requests must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. Email addresses are encouraged but not mandatory.
