- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Product Manager for Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (PdM TMDE), Quantico, VA intends to sole source an award to procure hardware obsolences kits for the AN/USM-718A Ground Radio Maintenance Automatic Test System (GRMATS). When the GRMATS was purchased, the Marine Corps did not obtain a technical data package sufficient to allow for competition for sustainment efforts related to the GRMATS systems. Use of any other vendor would require the development and fielding of an entirely new system vice simply being able to obtain the appropriate hardware upgrade kits and spare part replacements for the current system from the OEM. It is in the Government's best interest to sustain the existing GRMATS units by obtaining the necessary hardware upgrade kits from the OEM. This sources sought request is not a request for proposals or quotes but merely to determine if anyone can provide the required kit besides the OEM; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which, if received within fifteen calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by MCSC. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address attached to the notification. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
