Description
Title: Anthroscan Software License The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Division of Safety Research (DSR), Protective Technology Branch, Morgantown, WV intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Human Solutions of North America, Inc., 215 Southport Drive, #1400, Morrisville, NC 27560 for an Anthroscan Software License to extract body dimensions from 3-dimensional images (3D) to reduce the time required to conduct traditional measurements for the NIOSH Law Enforcement Anthropometry project. CLIN 0001: Anthroscan R&D Software License - Quantity of 1 each Statement of Work Extracting body measurements from 3-dimensional (3D) body raw scans The task is to acquire an AnthroScan software license for extracting body measurements from 3-dimensional (3D) body raw scans. These NIOSH body raw scans will be established through the NIOSH anthropometry research project, "Sizing Law Enforcement Officers for Personal Protective Equipment". The extracted body measurements will be used for various personal protective equipment design applications. Background NIOSH will establish a series of 3D occupational anthropometry databases of LEOs, and has a need for software that can be used to automatically extract body measurements for the design of personal protective equipment. Task Components The contractor is to furnish the Anthroscan software package that converts the NIOSH 3-dimensional (3D) body raw scans into body measurements for the NIOSH project, "Sizing Law Enforcement Officers for Personal Protective Equipment." This contract action is for a services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C 3304(a) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
