Page 1 of 1 TITLE: 65-- NOTICE OF INTENT SOL: VA242-17-Q-0670 DUE: 05-18-2017, 10AM EST SET ASIDE: No set aside NAICS: 339112 POP STATE: United States AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs, Manhattan VA Medical Center, Attn: Surgical Unit, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 POC: Shari Lee; shari.lee@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE to a Small Business for the purchase of obtaining an emergency Lariat Suture Delivery System. The Lariat Suture Delivery System is used to support percutaneous left atrial appendage ligation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award on a sole source basis with SentreHeart, Incorporated (DUNS: 68810802), pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5 and FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The proposed small business vendor, who has previous history of emergency contract performance, is now able to also provide emergency contract performance on these specific items needed for Manhattan VA Medical Center for Emergency Surgeries. Market research was conducted and determined that Sentreheart Incorporated is the only vendor who is able to provide exact items needed, as they are proprietary, and are only provided by this company. Item # 30-05, Lariat Suture Delivery System Item# 20-06, Endo Catheter Large Occlusion Balloon Item# 40-05, FindWIRZ Guide Wire system Item# 50-01, SureCUT Suture Cutter Item# 60-02, SofTIP Guide Cannula Item# 80-02, TenSURE Suture Tightener This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies/services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to May 18, 2017 at 10am EST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Shari.Lee@va.gov and received by 10AM EST on May 18, 2017; bidders are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
