- SOURCES SOUGHT This is a sources sought announcement for market analysis to determine the availability of potential interested vendors. No awards will be made from this notice. No solicitation is available at this time. Therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a future acquisition. The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron located at Cannon Air Force, New Mexico, is seeking sources interested in a possible award to provide two tornado shelters for Melrose Air Force Range (MAFR), NM. The first tornado shelter will be 10'x60' the second will be 10'x30'. Both shelters mentioned above will be made of corrugated round pipe and installed 10' underground. Each shelter will have two entrances, storage space, mud room, with solar powered, lighting, and filtered ventilation, electric toilet, with a 4 hr. back up battery. This will include excavation of the sites, installation of the shelters, and backfill. Please respond by e-mail no later than 8AM (MDT) on Monday 22 May 2017 at the above e-mail addresses with the above required information. Any capability information received will solely be used for the purpose of market research. All documents associated with this projected requirement will be posted in the Federal Business Opportunities website, https://www.fbo.gov/ as they become available. This is not a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specifications or drawings available with this announcement. It does not constitute a procurement commitment by the United States Air Force, implied or otherwise. No contract will be awarded from this notice. Responses are strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests.
