Needs Statement for Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Advanced Electronics Communities of Interest Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Advanced Electronics Communities of Interest Needs Statement Response Date: 5pm EDT June 19, 2017 The Department of Defense, Rapid Reaction Technology Office (RRTO) will conduct a Solutions Meeting to support the Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Advanced Electronics Communities of Interest. The Solutions Meeting will take place in September at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Meeting provides selected innovative companies with an opportunity to make short technical presentations to government representatives about their technologies and products. There is a potential for companies to be selected for pilot projects or experimentation if their technology appears to match the COIs needs. The COIs are looking for innovative technologies and capabilities in the following areas: Sensors - Detection and Tracking of Small UAVs/Birds - EO/IR Sensors for Degraded Visual Environments - EO/IR & RF Sensor Data Fusion - Multi-Function RF Sensing - Edge/On-chip Processing - Novel Sensor Modalities o Quantum o Atomic o Other - GPS-Denied Navigation Spectrum Management - RF Synchronization and Coordination - Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) - Transmit and Receive Isolation in Arrays - Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation Advanced Electronics and Components - Digital, Analog and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits - Reconfigurable, Frequency-Agile Devices and Circuits - Integrated Photonic Circuits - Ultra-Wide Bandgap Semiconductors Beyond GaN - High Power Efficient UV Laser Sources - Vacuum Electronics at mm-wave - Thermal Management Counter Tunnel and Mapping Technologies - Void/Tunnel Detection and Characterization - Sensors/Platforms Include Surface, Subsurface and Airborne - Communicate with and Geolocate Objects in a Tunnel Helmet Mounted Displays and Visualization - Augmented/Virtual reality - Wide Field of View - High Fidelity Color and Contrast - Low Latency Data Rates - Eye-Box Stability - Daylight Readability - Light Security Intelligent Electronic Warfare - Real Time Learning and Prediction Capabilities o Artificial Intelligence o Cognitive/Collaborative Behavior - Autonomous Assets and Resource Optimization - Real Time Sense and Adapt to RF Environments Space/Satellites - Detect and Track Space Debris - Damage Inspection of Space Assets - Commercial Imagery Processing o Change Detection o Pattern of Life Analysis o 3D Representation o Automated Object Recognition Trusted and Rugged Equipment - Electromagnetic and/or Radiation Hardening - Low/No Profile Antennas - Anti-Tamper / Anti-Counterfeit / Trusted and Assured Electronics - Low-Power/Ultra Low-Power Electronics Next Gen Computing, Processing, Sensing and Communications - Digital Readout Integrated Circuits (DROICs) - Neuromorphic Electronics - Quantum Information & Sensing Technologies - 5G Wireless Communications Companies interested in participating in the Solutions Meeting should submit an application to RRTO Innovation via e-mail to osd.pentagon.ousd-atl.mbx.rrto-innovation@mail.mil. The following information is required in the application (Note: Only 1 application is permitted per company): 1. Email subject line "RRTO Solutions Meeting Application" 2. Company name 3. Website address 4. POC, email, phone number and an alternate POC if desired 5. A succinct description (less than 100 words in length) of the company's technology that it proposes to present at the Solutions Meeting. 6. Map the technology to the ONE Needs Area you believe BEST fits your solution. All applications must be received on or before 5:00 PM EDT, June 19, 2017. Selected companies are responsible for their travel and all other expenses associated with participation in the RRTO Solutions Meeting.
