- This notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This announcement is neither a Request For Proposal (RFP) nor does it constitute a guarantee or otherwise commit the Government, in any way, to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. SPE4AX-17-R-TL23 is the planned solicitation number and is being used for notice identification; however, no solicitation is available at this time. DLA Aviation intends to bundle approximately 1,271 national stock numbers (NSNs) into a procurement for H-60 performance based supply chain management support. This holistic project is expected to be a single contract action with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Sikorsky). This population of items meets the definition of bundling at FAR 2.101, and it is likely to be unsuitable for award to a small business due to the diversity, size, or specialized nature of the elements of the performance specified. The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to attend a Small Business Industry Day hosted by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation. The Small Business Industry Day presentation will explain the Government's rationale for this holistic project and to highlight how small businesses can become qualified suppliers to Sikorsky. Sikorsky will provide a briefing that will cover their commitment to small business, what it is looking for in a supplier, small business NAICS codes, supplier-teaming resources, and the steps for supplier qualification. The Small Business Industry Day will be held at DLA Aviation (Defense Supply Center Richmond), Lotts Conference Center, located at 8000 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, Virginia 23297 on 31 May 2017, 0900 - 1415, Eastern Standard Time (EST). An online webinar will also be available for those individuals unable to attend in person. Pre-registration for in-person or webinar is REQUIRED. This is a no-fee event. Additional event details, including directions and webinar access data will be provided once attendance is confirmed. Questions relative to this Small Business Industry Day should be addressed to Program Manager, Mr. Stephen Minus, at Stephen.Minus@dla.mil and Mr. Steve Morgan at steven.morgan.ctr@dla.mil. Companies are required to e-mail Mr. Minus and Mr. Morgan no later than 1600 EST on 22 May 2017 with the following pre-registration information: (1) Company Name (2) Full Name(s) of employees/representatives attending the Small Business Industry Day (3) Date of Birth * (4) Social Security Number * (5) Race * (6) Gender * (7) Place of Birth * *Items with asterisks must be submitted for those attending the Industry Day in-person. Webinar participants will provide only Company Name and Attendee Names. Hard copy presentation materials will not be provided at the Small Business Industry Day, but will be posted to the FBO website by close of business on 25 May 2017. Please submit questions in advance to Mr. Minus and Mr. Morgan no later than 1600 EST on 25 May 2017 via e-mail. As DLA will not be holding one-on-one sessions, business-sensitive/proprietary questions will be addressed off-line by DLA. Please mark business-sensitive/proprietary questions appropriately. Presentations and questions/answers will be posted on the FBO website following event completion.
