- A.Purpose: This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Acquisition Directorate (AD) is seeking firms doing business in North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 519130 Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals. B.Introduction/Background: The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) requires a content aggregator/publishing tool for both proprietary and open source information. DAU has been given the requirement to manage, distribute, enhance, and publish profiled digital information to end-users in real time. C.Objective: DAU requires a content aggregator that can integrate both proprietary and open source content including current news, journals, RSS, videos, audio, photos, social media, databases, websites, etc. The product must handle a wide array of formats including XML, HTML, text, photos, audio, video, social media, MS-Word documents, etc. The product must not be dependent on a specific content provider. The product must also be capable of allowing the user to change content sources with no technology interruption. The product must provide content in real-time as provided from the content originator. The product must also integrate all content sources on one platform, and select and organize content by topic or keyword. The product must also include customized templates for specific publishing efforts. D.Response Requirements: Responses to this notice must include: 1.Company name, address and phone number 2.Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) code and DUNS number 3.Primary Point of Contact name, phone and email address 4.A summary description that demonstrates the ability to meet the aforementioned objectives. Respondents should provide complete responses to each objective addressed above. 5.If respondent has a government contract vehicle such as a Federal Supply Schedule or other government-wide use contract that would address the scope of this requirement, please indicate contract number in your response. 6.Questions Submission: Interest offerors must submit any questions concerning this Sources Sought Notice no later than 2:00 PM (EST), Tuesday, 23 May, 2017. E.Deadline: The Government requests interested parties to submit a letter of interest and statement of current ability to supply the above service via email with the subject line "Information Aggregation Software" to John W. Crawford at john.w.crawford1.civ@mail.mil by 2:00 PM (EST), Wednesday, 24 May, 2017. F.Disclaimer and Important Notes: This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal/Quotation; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor will the Government pay for any information provided; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought Notice or Government use of any information provided. Failure to submit information in sufficient detail may result in considering a firm as not a viable source and may influence competition and set-aside decisions. Regardless of the information obtained from this Sources Sought Notice, the Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as deemed appropriate for this requirement.
