- COMBINED SYNOPSIS SOLICITATION W912PF-17-T-0043 This is to inform all prospective contractors that: - Furniture (sofa and chairs), television, printer, fridge, wood and metal racks shall not be disposed; - Carpet shall be disposed; - The Contractor is responsible to perform sampling and to dispose the material. Only if the result of the sampling will evidence the presence of asbestos the Contractor shall immediately notify the Contracting Officer and the Government will take care of the issue. The disposal of contaminated asbestos material will be performed by a separate contract. This is to provide reply to the following Request for Information: Question: Concerning Task 1, Sampling section (1.7.1.1. Activities). Is the analysis mandatory for all waste or only for unknown waste material? Answer: In accordance with paragraph 1.7.1.1. "The Contractor shall sample each pile that has been separated and analyze for acceptance into a landfill facility.." and "The Contractor is responsible for verifying the type of solid waste in the piles and characterizing the waste for proper removal and disposal". Therefore, the reply is positive. The analysis are mandatory for all waste. Question: We know that the offer will be made based on the amount of waste evaluated during the visit. We wanted to know what measures you could implement to avoid increasing the amount of waste before the start of the service. Answer: The sites are closed for dumping additional material.
