- The National Park Service has a requirement to rehabilitate the fire sprinkler and smoke and carbon monoxide systems meeting NFPA13D (The National Fire Protection Association) at Big Hole National Battlefield in Missoula, Montana and is issuing a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The project is located at Big Hole National Battlefield is located approximately 112 miles south of Missoula, Montana, via Highways 93 and 43. The work of this project will consists of the general construction of fire sprinkler and smoke and carbon monoxide systems meeting NFPA13D including associated electrical and water connections for two three-bed room residences, one duplex and half of a duplex; full or selective demolition of the existing wet pipe sprinklers and horns in the same buildings. The existing sprinkler systems were installed after 1993. Replace five (5) fire hydrants. All work will be performed under a single contract. An organized site visit will be scheduled Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 9:00 am Montana time. This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220. The small business size standard is $15.00 Million. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to a single vendor determined to be responsive and responsible. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000. and $250,000. This RFQ is being issued using simplified acquisition methods described in FAR Part 13, which are applicable to actions valued under $150,000. The awarded contract shall not exceed SAT. All requirements for preparation, submission, and receipt of quotes contained in this solicitation shall be adhered to. In the event that competitive quotes are not received for this solicitation, an offeror may be required to submit cost and pricing data or information other than cost and pricing. Refer to Section J of Attachment no. 4 for the complete list of attachments that includes the price schedule and all other terms, provisions, and clauses, specification, location map, and Department of Labor's construction wage rates for Beaverhead and Ravalli Counties in Montana.
