- This notice announces the intent by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to complete a sole source modification to an existing contract, W81XWH-15-C-0082, as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). This contract provides for software licenses (CoPath Plus), hardware/equipment, and services to replace the Military Health System's (MHS) existing Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Information System (APLIS) solution. The requested APLIS solution must comply with the DHA Information Assurance (IA) standards and interface with the current Composite Health Care System (CHCS) architecture. This project is currently being performed by the Cerner Corporation and is only available from the original source for the development of this system. Only the Cerner Corporation is able to provide development to these proprietary and highly specialized products and services. Specifically, the Government will modify this contract to revise the base period of performance and to include additional tasks within scope of the contract. This includes additional training and support, updated programming codes, and personal identifier updates. This does not extend the overall period of performance of this award. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a). USAMRAA intends to complete the modification no sooner than 14 days after publishing this synopsis.
