- REQUEST FOR ISSUANCE OF SYNOPSIS IN FEDBIZOPPS DATE OF REQUEST: 17 May 2017 TITLE OF PROJECT: Thyssenkrupp Elevators at Irwin Army Community Hospital Ft Riley, KS SOLICITATION NUMBER: W91278-17-R-2018 RESPONSE DUE DATE: 01 June 2017 CONTRACT SPECIALIST: Katherine Younts, 251-690-3865 CONTRACTING OFFICER: Robert S. McAllister, 251-690-2912 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a notice of intent to require the current awarded Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contractor, ABM Government Services, LLC, Task Order xxxx, to enter into a contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevators, 4939 Lulu Ct., Ste. 16, Witchita, KS 67216, as the vender to maintain the elevators at Buildings 650 and 654, Irwin Army community Hospital, Fort Riley, KS. The order is under an awarded Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quanity (IDIQ) Multiple Awarded Task Order Contract (MATOC) W91278-15-D-00xx. The elevators at Irwin Army Community Hospital were manufactured and installed by Thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation. Thyssenkrupp has technicians serving the area with specialized tools, hardware, parts, lubricants: installation procedures, technical manuals, and current software to properly maintain the equipment. Equipment shutdowns are kept to a minimum with manufactured preventive maintenance program, instant availability of parts, and immediate response of trained technicians, with intricate and exhaustive knowledge of the present elevators. This office believes that only one source, Thyssenkrupp can provide the above required support. If any responsible source other than Thyssenkrupp can fulfill the above requirements, written notification and supporting documentation may be submitted via e-mail to Katherine.b.younts@usace.army.mil. The e-mail subject line for each response should include "RESPONSE TO NOTICE FOR: Thyssenkrupp Elevators - Irwin Army Community Hospital, Ft Riley, KS To be considered a viable source, documentation must clearly demonstrate: (1) Offeror's name, address, points of contact, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses, (2) Supporting documentation as an approved Thyssenkrupp Elevator vendor (3) Past experience in maintaining the current system in an occupied medical facility. (4) Freedom from actual or potential conflict-of-interest. If no affirmative written documentation is received within 15 days of this synopsis, the Mobile District Corps of Engineers will proceed with requiring the current O&M contractor to enter into a contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevators, 4939 Lulu Ct., Ste. 16, Witchita, KS 67216, as the vender to maintain the elevators at Buildings 650 and 654 at Irwin Army community Hospital, Fort Riley, KS. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. The results of this synopsis will be considered to be in effect for a period of nine months from the date of publication of this notice. A solicitation is not available.
