GALVESTON POST OFFICE & COURTHOUSE ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN. OFFERS FROM ALL RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE FIRMS WILL BE CONSIDERED. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces the opportunity to solicit and award for General Construction Contractors with elevator experience to remove (two) existing passenger elevators in the Galveston Post Office and Courthouse that were installed in 1997.THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN. OFFERS FROM ALL RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE FIRMS WILL BE CONSIDERED. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces the opportunity to solicit and award for General Construction Contractors with elevator experience to remove (two) existing passenger elevators in the Galveston Post Office and Courthouse that were installed in 1997. The two passenger elevators located in the Galveston Post Office and Courthouse in Galveston, Texas, are now obsolete. The modernization of these vertical transportation systems is necessary in order to comply with existing elevator codes, and the associated American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and life safety requirements. Work will consist of, but is not limited to; the Modernization of two (2) existing traction passenger elevators. Provide new: Two geared traction passenger elevators, AC machines, solid state micro-processor controls, car frame, cabs, doors and entrances, and all associated work to provide two (2) complete new elevators. All work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the current ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The estimated dollar amount of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Construction completion time is 365 calendar days from NTP. This is not a solicitation or Request for Proposals. Proposals shall be submitted via e-mail to erika.wilburn-campbell@gsa.gov by solicitation close date on, or about, 10 July 2017 by 2:00 p.m. cst. NAICS: 238290/Other Building Equipment Contractors/Size Standard: $15M The Government seeks to achieve Construction Excellence that will result in the best project utilizing tradeoff type of best value, while maintaining budget. A contractor will be selected via FAR Part 15 Source Selection procedures utilizing the tradeoff type of best value continuum, where the technical factors (when combined) are significantly more important than price in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-2 (a). The following areas will hold weight as designated: 1. Past Performance 2. Experience on Comparable Projects 3. Technical and Management (Organizational) Approach 4. Specialized Experience and Technical Competence (Qualification of Key Personnel) PLEASE SEE SOLICITATION FOR FULL EXPLANATION OF THE FACTORS NOTE: A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held on, or about, June 6th, 2017 at the Galveston Post Office and Courthouse, 601 Rosenberg, Galveston, Texas 77550.
