Description
Provide swimming pool maintenance for the main pool and the wading pool at the Naval Support Activity (NSA), Crane, Indiana, complete and ready for use. (a)PREPARING POOLS FOR SEASONAL USE. Preparing pools for seasonal use including but not limited to, removing the pool cover, cleaning of all filters in the pool filtering systems, unplugging the lines, and the filters, service the pumps, vacuuming the pool, placing metal inhibitors into the pool and adding the required chemicals. Filters shall be clear of all debris and residue when cleaned. Metal inhibitors shall be applied to the pool water in sufficient quantity to clear the pool water of all rust and residue. Once all debris and residue have been removed from the pool water as a result of the metal inhibitor application, the pool and surface shall be vacuumed to remove remaining debris. Required chemicals shall be added to maintain water quality. This work will be scheduled 2 “ 3 weeks prior to Memorial Day weekend. WEEKLY MAINTENANCE. Weekly maintenance includes vacuuming of the pools three times a week, providing of required chemicals, testing water, and adjusting chemical usage to maintain water quality, back wash filters and strainer baskets as needed. The Contractor shall maintain swimming pool water quality per standards specified in Chapter 4, Section II of NAVMED P-5010-4, Swimming Pools and Bathing Places. Copies of SDS for all chemicals to be used shall be provided to the Contracting Officer within 10 days after contract award and prior to bringing the chemicals on site. The Contractor shall conduct and document water quality tests. Water analysis reports shall be made available for Government review upon request. The Contractor shall collect a water sample weekly and submit to a state approved laboratory for bacteriological examination. A copy of each water sample report must be submitted to the local health department by the Contractor as required by 410 IAC 62.131 Water quality standards. Notify KO upon submission of sample report to the state approved laboratory. Weekly pool maintenance services shall be performed so as not to interfere with scheduled aquatic programs or use of the facilities. WINTERIZATION. Winterization of the pools shall include; blowing water out of all lines and plugging the lines, adding anti-freeze to skimmer lines, servicing pump and filter (remove water) blowing out excess water, and plugging them. Install the cover over the main pool. INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) This work will only be performed upon issuance of individual task orders. Exhibit line items A700, B700, C700, D700, and E700 are for labor that is not specifically listed within other exhibit line items. The Contractor shall provide labor as necessary for the maintenance, repair, and replacement for items not specifically included in paragraph 47, above. Examples of such items may include but are not limited to valves, pumps, sensors, solenoids, etc. This labor shall be identified by the Contractor in the estimate that is provided to the Government, which identifies the repairs to be made, the material and equipment required, and the amount of labor necessary to perform the work. The Labor Hour Unit Price shall include all direct and indirect costs to perform an hour of labor except material. Cost such as profit, field and office overhead, job estimating, job preparation, licenses, permits, insurance, furnishing submittals, and all other direct and indirect cost associated with performance are all included as part of labor hour unit prices. Labor hour quantities proposed by the Contractor that accomplish repair jobs are subject to approval by the Contracting Officer or his/her designated representative. No work under this item shall be performed until proper authorization from the Government has been received. Exhibit line items A701, B701, C701, D701, and E701 are for material and equipment that is not specifically listed within other exhibit line items. The amount listed in the exhibit is for proposal evaluation purposes only and does not necessarily indicate any quantity of material/equipment required by the Government. The Contractor shall provide such materials and/or equipment for repairs and maintenance as required by the Government for the pool equipment maintenance and repair or replacement. The Contractor ™s cost for material and equipment procured under this ELIN will be reimbursed at the invoice cost, plus a Fixed Burden Rate. Fixed Burden Rate is defined as additional cost, expressed as a percentage of the invoice cost for the Contractors handling and Overhead. The invoice cost is the supplier ™s actual invoice for materials and equipment purchased for incorporation in the contract-related repair. The contractor shall provide a copy of the supplier ™s invoices for material and equipment procured under this ELIN. Note: The amount listed in the exhibit line items is for proposal valuation purposes only and does not necessarily indicate any quantity of material/equipment required by the Government. Material and equipment proposed by the Contractor that accomplishes repair jobs is subject to approval by the Contracting Officer or his/her designated representative. No work under this item shall be performed until proper authorization from the Government has been received.
