- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NAICS: 423450, Standard Size: 500. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Functional Statement The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) in Little Rock, AR is in need of nine (9) mobility-promoting standing aids that encourages residents/patients to fully participate in transfers, thereby improving circulation, breathing, digestion and muscle tone. Functions include: Active Standing Aid which provides standing assistance for bariatric residents/patients Manual base opening with non-slip for footplate Pivoting seat design Pedal-operated chassis legs width adjustment 4 low friction castors with rear locking Knee support Cross bar handle for patient to grab and pull self to upright position 400lb capacity *Visual image and functional statement for quoted items requested. Interested vendors shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number and capability statement. Preference will be given to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Veteran Owned Small Business pursuant to NAICS Code 423450, Standard Size 500. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to claudette.barbee@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Friday, May 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
