- Notice Type: Posted Date: Intent to Award Sole Source May 18, 2017 Original Set Aside: Response Date: Sole Source May 23, 2017 @ 5:00 p.m. Classification Code: NAICS Code: D316 IT and Telecom 541511 Software; Computer Program Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7; hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements, to: RONCO SPECIALIZED SYSTEMS, INC 199 FOSTER BROTHERS DRIVE WEST COLUMBIA, SC 29172 GSA Contract Number: GS-35F-0438L expiring June 6, 2021 This requirement will consist of the supplying a Software Upgrade to the Nurse Call Systems currently being utilized from a Rauland-Borg Responder 4 to a Responder 5 for the Medical Service of the facility. This is to include programming and integration. The Contractor shall perform an initial assessment of the existing system to collect the fundamental data essential for the required system set-up and configuration prior to the start of the System Programming. The Contractor shall provide and install the following required Integration Hardware at a minimum (exact locations to be determined): Branch Regional Controller (BRC) Power Supply with Batter Backup UL1069 Rauland 8 Port Ethernet Switch Network Adapter Module (NAM) Nurse Console Wall Cabinet as required 20 amp circuit obtained from Critical Branch System Software Integrations include: PC Console Reports Manager Responder 4 to Responder 5 The following shall be provided and installed by the VA facility: Server Hardware Microsoft Licensing VM Software This service shall include installation of the following: System Cabling Device Terminations Installation of 120V Circuits Any necessary Fire Sealing of penetrations The Contractor shall provide necessary on-site training covering the operations of the system as well as the generation of reports from the newly installed Responder 5 Software. Two (2) factory training classes shall be required for I.T. Administrators assigned to the facility. The Contractor shall ensure upon completion of the installation that the system is fully tested and fully operational. Insuring all system calls respond to the correct consoles and Duty Stations Software Integrations are fully functional System one (1) year warranty required on all parts and labor Certification Letter required and shall be issued to the VA Medical Center A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Please ensure all bid offer emails are titled referencing the Solicitation Number and Title of Service i.e. VA247-17-N-0491 Software Upgrade Nurse Call Systems so that they may be placed in the proper file folder for consideration. Failure to do so may cause a delay in addressing questions, inquires, and during the evaluation process. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contracting Specialist, Cynthia Machuca at cynthia.machuca@va.gov.
