- P17PS01437 CONSTRUCT SITKA NHP BPR MAINTEANCE SHED, PMIS 175927A The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (SITK-Construct BPR Maintenance Shed; PMIS # 175927A), your socioeconomic status, for example, 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantage WOSB, Small. Your email capability information must not exceed 6 pages and be specific to the description of the project in this notice. Provide customer point of contact information including email and telephone (i.e. contracting officers, project managers), descriptions of past projects (preferably recent and relevant projects), contract numbers, dollar amounts, time frame, duration, location and any other pertinent information. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your firms bonding levels per contract and total. Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. PROJECT TITLE: Construct Sitka NHP BPR Maintenance Shed PROJECT NUMBER: 175927A DESCRIPTION: Work is to be performed at Sitka National Historical Park in Sitka, Alaska. While the town of Sitka does have a road system, it is on an Island that has no road access from a major highway, and is only accessible via air or commercial barge service. Sitka is on the Pacific Ocean, located in a temperate rainforest. The project location is on a parcel at the end of Metlakatla Street in a wooded area beyond the Park Visitor Center. This project will occur on National Park Service owned property surrounded by municipal rights-of-way; coordination with Federal and local government may be required. Effort must be taken to limit any conflict between construction, the City and Borough of Sitka, and local residents. The work consists of, but is not limited to, the general design and construction of a 30'x40'x20'-10' eave height pre-engineered metal maintenance shed building with R19 wall insulation and R40 roof insulation. It includes: site grading; building insulation; reinforced concrete foundation (designed at Constructor's cost by a Structural Engineer licensed in Alaska); reinforced concrete slab-on-grade floor; overhead and entry doors; and electrical meter base, service breaker, load center and lighting system. Electrical power will be transmitted through underground cables with temporary service provided approximately 15 feet from the proposed shed. NAICS Code: 236210 Dollar Magnitude: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Period of Performance is August 15, 2017 to October 13, 2017 Project skills and/or experience that firms are to address in their statement of interest: 1. Experience in contracts of similar size, difficulty and nature involving site grading and drainage work, concrete foundation design and construction, and pre-fabricated metal building installation. 2. Relevant work experience for at least one project where work was performed at a location not accessible from the National Highway System. 3. Protection of natural environment during construction. 4. Management of multi-discipline projects. 5. Documentation that the contractor's team consists of a Licensed Structural Engineer in the State of Alaska.
