- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a roofing replacement requirement for the USDA ARS Subtropical Horticulture Research Station located at 13601 Old Cutler Road Miami, FL 33158. PROJECT SCOPE: This requirement is to replace the shingles and underlayment on the roof and gutter system of four buildings at the USDA ARS Subtropical Horticulture Research Station located in Miami, FL. The square footage of the buildings are approximately 1,842 sf, 2,711 sf, 1,514 sf, and 2,150 sf. Complete specifications will be provided in the Statement of Work. A site visit will be scheduled. Details will be provided in the solicitation. SOLICITATION PERIOD: A request for proposal is scheduled to release on or about June 6, 2017. Proposals will be due on or about July 6, 2017. SOLICITATION PROCEDURES: The acquisition will be issued as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Proposal through the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238160; Small Business Size Standard is $15 million. Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2AA. The anticipated period of performance will be 90 calendar days from Notice To Proceed. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. It is anticipated that award will result in a single award firm-fixed price contract. This is an electronically issued acquisition. The solicitation will be available at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FedBizOpps website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Offerors may obtain information on registration in the SAM at https://www.sam.gov. Proposals will be accepted electronically via email.
