- Description
- The International Network Operations (INO) group at the United States Postal Service (USPS) is responsible for the transportation and performance of international mail originating in the United States. In carrying out this mission, the INO group seeks to identify and evaluate solutions that would improve international service, control costs, and increase operational efficiency. The purpose of this RFI is to request information from air carriers and logistics industry suppliers regarding alternative logistics solutions which will aid the Postal Service in achieving the following objectives: -Improve customer service to the public; -Optimize operational efficiency; -Lower transportation costs; -Strengthen USPS-carrier relationships. Important Deadlines: -June 2, 2017: deadline to submit questions to USPS (utilizing Attachment 2); -June 9, 2017: deadline for USPS to respond to questions submitted; -June 30, 2017: final RFI submission deadline.
