Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA257-17-Q-0785. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-83, effective August 21, 2015. The associated North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 333241 with a small business standard of 750 employees. This acquisition is solicited as a 100% set-aside for service disabled veteran owned small business. STATEMENT OF WORK - Oven, Electric, Revolving Tray, 8 shelves, 32, 18 X 26 pan capacity, fully electric This new Oven, Electric Revolving Tray with 32 pan capacity will allow for a smoother operation in our Advanced Food Preparation Cook/Chill system preparing an average of 1500 meals per day. This oven will be used for the larger, regular diet meal entrée and side items, such as swiss steak, baked fish, potato wedges, lasagna, etc. while the smaller oven/Alto-SHAAM can be used for items not needed in large quantities for specialized diets. The installation of this piece of equipment Is required to be a complete turn-key operation. This will include the removal of the current Lucks Revolving Tray Oven, including removing the oven from VHA property by the company that the new oven is purchased from. This removal will need to be done on the weekend, beginning after 3:00 PM on a Friday and completed by 7:00 PM on Sunday to allow for continued cooking operations and meal service. The company that equipment is purchased from will be responsible for all electrical, plumbing (if necessary) and stack work. Company will need to provide installers and laborers as necessary to remove the old oven and install the new oven. Removal of all packaging and crating is the responsibility of the company that oven is purchased from. If a forklift is needed, it will need to be arranged for by the company providing the oven. VHA does have pallet jack capability. Installation of the new revolving oven will need to be on the weekend starting at 3:00 PM on a Friday with work continuing until 7:00 PM on Sunday evening to allow for continued cooking operations and meal service. VHA Engineering will be providing a Contracting Officer s Representative as oversight for this installation but no laborers or engineering work except to ensure that the VHA power system is prepared for the new oven.
