- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiated on a limited-competition basis to the following contractors: National Systems Rusberg, Rusberg, VA and Hi-Test Laboratories, Inc., Arvonia, VA, for the procurement of shock testing in accordance with MIL-S-901D. This test is for High-Impact Shock Testing of select Visual Landing Aid (VLA) Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment from the Integrated Launch and Recovery Television Surveillance (ILARTS), Light Sequence Flasher System (LSFS), Long Range Lineup System (LRLS), the Manually Operated Visual Landing Aid System (MOVLAS), and Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System (IFLOLS). This action will also include an option for the shock test of the Landing Signal Officer Display System (LSODS). The test results will be used to qualify the equipment to MIL-S-901D Grade "A" or "B" shock for installation on United States Navy (USN) Nimitz and Ford Class aircraft carriers. This procurement is not a small business set-aside. The NAVAIR Office of Small Business Programs concurs. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, or from only one or a limited number of responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
